About
8circus is an independent music company based in Ghent.
We invest in recordings, hold rights, and do the work that most musicians would rather not do: the contracts, the metadata, the licensing paperwork, the long emails to supervisors and bookers. Not because we think the business is more important than the music, but because we know that without someone handling it properly, the music disappears.
We started by financing the albums of the artists we believed in. figtrees, Wired Strangers, Rosman. Three projects with nothing in common on the surface, except that they are all worth more than the attention they get. We hold a share of the master recordings and the publishing, and in return we give each project the infrastructure it needs: a digital presence, a sync catalog, and someone who picks up the phone.
Everything that happens under this name begins the same way: someone makes something worth hearing, and we build the circle around it.
Sync
We hold master rights and publishing for a catalog of independent Belgian music. Singer-songwriter, indie rock, and experimental. Fully cleared, with stems available on request. Music made slowly, with intent, that earns its place in a film scene or a live set or a playlist because it is genuinely good.
